ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Montessori + Spanish Immersion

As the first and only Montessori and Spanish immersion preschool in Fort Worth, Mi Mundito Montessori's approach is unique. We value the whole child and utilize the Montessori approach education to emphasize not only academic learning, including language and mathematics, but also grace and courtesy (social-emotional learning), culture, practical life, and care of self. The Montessori school day takes place in Spanish, so children who attend will eventually be able to speak Spanish fluently.  As an in-home preschool, we are able to offer a homelike environment as well as individualized attention to each child's unique needs. As a Montessori program, we embrace the multi-age classroom environment, serving babies through four-year-olds. Children will leave our program prepared not only for Pre-K or Kindergarten, but to be lifelong learners who make a positive impact in the world.

ABOUT OUR DIRECTOR

Crystal Romero, M.Ed. &

Education Expert

My name is Crystal Romero and I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from Texas Christian University where I received a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Following graduation, I began teaching in Fort Worth ISD. While teaching, I obtained a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas in Arlington. I taught for 9 years, with experience in public and private school. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and taught students in a bilingual classroom environment during my time as a teacher. I am knowledgeable about the Montessori philosophy and have experience integrating Montessori with a variety of ages. I am passionate about working with young children, bilingualism, and the Montessori philosophy.

During my free time, I enjoy traveling the world and learning about different cultures. I have visited over 45 countries and have learned so much from each of them. I value traveling and believe it is the key to understanding our world and its people. I also enjoy spending time with my 14 godchildren; they are so fun and keep me busy. I also love to give back to my community, volunteering, and making a difference in the lives of others.

I am excited and humbled to be the owner and director of Mi Mundito Montessori, the first and only Spanish Immersion Montessori Preschool in Fort Worth.
